SERAC’s services are provided through grant funding.

What We Do

  • Identify gaps and barriers in treatment and recovery services to help communities, business, and individuals plan and coordinate prevention efforts
  • Conduct regional needs assessments and develop regional priorities for prevention, treatment, and recovery related to behavioral health concerns
  • Support regional work groups and coalitions that provide specific information related to behavioral health and substance use areas of concern
  • Support regional towns’ Local Prevention Councils (LPC) to implement Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF) as they increase the development of local prevention efforts across the lifespan through needs assessment, capacity building, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Develop supports for businesses that hire individuals with mental and behavioral health problems to ensure continued employee retention through Recovery Friendly Workplaces
  • Lead and support advocacy efforts within our region and the state
